It’s very easy to shout about yourself from the rooftops, but it's not our kind of thing. Fortunately, there are plenty of people who are happy to do it for us.... so a big thanks to all our supporters. To see what they say, just click on the book covers to read the full review.

BREAKING NEWS - We are made up to have been awarded the Buckinghamshire Dining Pub of the Year 2019 for the sixth time from THE GOOD PUB GUIDE, which was published on 6th September!

Well blow us down! Following on from our 2015 award - (Sister pub The Alford Arms' won in 2014), didn't we just go and scoop Gold Medals in the national Free From Eating Out Award again in 2016 and 2017!.....

“Oh yes please! There is a world of difference between catering for an allergy with something like a salad, or roast with no gravy, and coming up with a delicious sounding dish that meets multiple needs without compromise on flavour. The Royal Oak hits the nail on the head."

2017 was a cracking year for us, when we scooped both the Beautiful South Tourism Pub of the Year award for the second year running and also Les Routiers Pub of the Year.

Also, back in July 2017 we were delighted to be awarded the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame Certificate for five years of consistently excellent ratings from you - our lovely customers! THANK YOU.
