It may have been a long and tortuous journey via many local Hostelries and Restaurants (on both sides of the bar!), but our fantastic General Manager James thinks it was well worth the effort. He has found his spiritual home here at the ‘Oak’ and follows a rich tradition of top notch service and toasty warm hospitality.

James is backed up by his lovely assistant - Sara who completes the management team and between them all they lead an unusual bunch - perhaps some of the friendliest, charming and hard-working folk you'll ever meet.

Ed, our talented Head Chef is highly skilled at what we like to call 'British Colonial' style food. He leads a hard working Brigade who in between shifts, thoroughly enjoy scouring the hedgerows and local woodland throughout the seasons.

Front of house, our boys and girls really care about you having a good time. Nothing is too much trouble and this shows through in their smiles. Attentive, thoughtful, yet always up for a giggle, you can feel the sense of family which pervades the pub.

Whilst our staff tend to stay with us, we do occasionally have openings for like-minded folk, so if you are interested in joining the team, please feel free to give us a call.
